About the Role

Frontier Medicines is seeking a Chief People Officer (CPO) who will be responsible for developing and executing the Human Resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. The CPO will provide strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the senior leadership team and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of corporate culture and excellent planning / organizational skills, have an eye for talent and outstanding interpersonal skills.

What you will do: This is a new role reporting to the CEO, as the chief architect of diversity and inclusion, with responsibility for all people facets of a geographically diverse organization. You will have responsibility for critical strategic aspects that require planning, analytics and leadership, in addition to core operational fundamentals, to drive engagement, talent development and ensure a Best-in-Class experience for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • As leader of People, you will own the entire employee experience including recruitment, selection, onboarding, training & development, engagement, performance, compliance, benefits, rewards, retention and succession planning
  • Ensure quality and levels of talent are aligned with forecasting, D&I and organizational needs
  • Establish and implement exceptional employee relations and compliance programs
  • Develop HR plans and strategies that effectively communicate, [reflect/mirror/represent] and support the company's mission and strategic vision to drive business impact
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to and member of the senior leadership team regarding key organizational and management issues
  • Create new and expand existing programs that drive Employee Engagement through onboarding programs, rewards, recognition and event planning
  • Partner with the leadership team, talent recruitment lead and Head of Culture to drive the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion strategy
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective
  • Provide leadership and oversight of talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation, and benefits 
  • Champion, drive and refine the ongoing performance management and compensation processes
  • Responsible for all aspects of compliance including the Employee Handbook, various reporting obligations, and required legal notifications and submissions.
  • Provide consulting for personnel matters as they arise
  • Adept at coaching and influencing all levels of the organization.

  • A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred
  • A minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience
